Brief Description

A great opportunity to work for one the UK’s leading foam converters. Duties will include CAD based design and programming, setting and monitoring CNC machines & solving production/process problems.

Qualifications Required

CAD experience at School/College level
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Math’s (Grade 4/C) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Design/Science or similar (Grade 4/C) Essential

Training to be Provided

This 4 year programme will include:
• Engineering Basic Skills training – off the job full time at Make UK in Aston, Birmingham
• NVQ Level 3 in Engineering
• A Technical Certificate (BTEC Diploma Level 3 in Engineering)
• In house training in line with your requirements.

We are looking for an apprentice to join our growing in-house CAD/CNC department in Dudley. As leaders in the sector, our customers provide an ever-evolving challenge. There is opportunity for national travel but also international travel to Europe and Middle East

You will be an integral part of the team working closely with sales and production to ensure all criteria is met while ensuring the most efficient production process.

Main duties will include but not limited to:

• Interpret CAD drawings
• Production of CAD drawings/production packs with the use of Solidworks and AlphaCAM
• Supporting the administration of projects, including maintaining records
• Independently manage work in progress against timescales
• Contribute on production problem solving
• Setting and running CNC machines i.e. Milling, Waterjet, Presses, Laser
• Business improvement techniques

Regional Account Manager – UK

England, North & Northern Ireland

Salary & Package – Negotiable Based on Experience

This is a field-based account management role with one of the Europe’s leading convertors of foam related products, , they’re able to provide customers with the most cost-effective and competitively priced solutions, in addition to the very best in customer service.

The Role

As Regional Account Manager you will grow and manage new /existing accounts across your own territory by networking businesses across multiple stakeholders in multiple locations to achieve retention and growth targets. Demonstrating return on investment through value led conversations and analysing key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage a portfolio of customers across multiple sites.
  • Constantly seek new opportunities to expand the portfolio.
  • Monitor sales performance and activity levels and produce monthly report detailing key result areas.
  • Maintain appropriate records on clients and sales activities.
  • Calling on customers on a regular basis, providing quotes and ensuring that enquiries and issues are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Weekly reporting
Your skills
  • Regional Account Managers need to have natural flair and strong commercial acumen built into their nature.
  • You need to be a sales hunter as well as an excellent relationship manager, hungry to grow the business and thrive in a targeted, performance measured culture.
  • This is a field-based role where you’ll be supported by a sales manager.
  • Foam industry experience desirable, but training will be available for the correct candidate
  • ERP/ CRM Experience
  • Excellent negotiation skills

Quality Coordinator

Reports to Head of Operations

40 hours Mon-Friday (Every other Friday off).

Salary: Negotiable depending on experience (£30-£40,000)

To be responsible for all aspects of quality company wide. To liaise with the purchasing coordinator to ensure quality of good received, as well as production staff to monitor and report on the quality of production items

  • Devise and establish the quality procedures, standards and Policy
  • Inspect incoming goods, and report back to suppliers
  • Implement procedures in production, including the inspection of manufactured goods
  • Monitor techniques used in manufacturing, to ensure best practice and optimize margin
  • To monitor CAR’s and implement corrective actions
  • Liaise with other managers and staff and provide training, tools and techniques to enable others to achieve our quality standards
Required Experience
  • Suitable manufacturing experience – ideally within a fabrication background
  • Experience in a management position
  • Computer literate essential
  • Experience in CRM
  • A proven ability to facilitate change
  • Experience in working with ISO 9001.2015 is essential
